Reading more books, however boring or tough it may sound, comes with it's own set of benefits and niceties. Whenever you read a book, you can enter a completely different world if it is a fiction book or it may teach you things you might not have been able to know in your whole life.

If you are a high-school or college student you know very well the importance of standing out in a good way so that girls notice you. Reading books instantly provides such an opportunity. Moreover, in minds of your teachers/professors you will make an impression of being above the rest of today's so-called social network generation. This puts you in a good stand when you want any favors from them. Mind you though that reading books alone won't be enough in any of the above cases but it sure provides a good start.

Reading books also improves your diction, thus helping you express yourself better whenever needed. This process of improving diction also has a side benefit, it forms new neural pathways in our brain, thus helping the brain as a whole become stronger.

Reading fiction also helps in improving one's imagination capabilities. Thus helping them become more creative.
